Antique and oxidised copper samovar
Antique (aged) and oxidised finishes give copper a time-worn, vintage look from the very first day. They suit rustic gardens, mountain houses and village-house décor beautifully.
These models also have a 99.9% copper body, are tin-lined inside and burn wood; the only difference is that the outer surface has been darkened on purpose.

View and orderAntique vs oxidised vs polished
- Polished: classic copper colour; darkens naturally over time and can be polished again with copper polish.
- Antique: an aged, heritage look; available on our 10 litre model with two teapots.
- Oxidised: a dark, smoky surface; available on our 5 litre güveç and 7 litre models.
Caring for antique and oxidised samovars
- Do not polish the outside; avoid metal polish, lemon-and-salt and abrasives.
- Wiping with a soft, dry cloth is enough.
- After use, once cooled, empty the ash, drain the water through the tap and let the inside dry.
Frequently asked questions
Does an oxidised samovar lose its colour over time?
Oxidised and antique finishes are already darkened; as long as you do not use polish or abrasives they keep their look. Wipe with a dry cloth.
Is the inside of an antique samovar aged too?
No. The antique and oxidised treatment is applied to the outside; the inner surface that touches water is tin-lined.
