Yes. All samovars currently on our site, including the small 5-litre models, are wood-fired; our electric copper and stainless steel models are coming soon. The fire is made with dry wood in the chamber that runs through the middle of the body, so the heat goes straight into the surrounding water.

The body is 99.9% copper and the inner surface that touches the water is tin-lined. The tap is brass; the teapot handles are plastic. The material of each product is listed on its own page.

For family use and small groups, 5 litres is usually enough. For larger family gatherings choose 7 litres; for tea gardens, campsites and events the 10-litre models with two teapots are a better fit.

No. A wood-fired samovar gives off smoke and sparks; use it only in open, well-ventilated places such as a garden, open balcony, terrace or campsite, away from flammable materials.
